Embracing Gentle Teaching: A Transformative Journey in Caregiving

In the realm of care and support, ensuring that someone feels safe, loved, and fully engaged has been the cornerstone of my journey. This commitment has not only allowed numerous relationships to thrive but has also profoundly shaped me into a more compassionate caregiver and support provider.

Two years ago, when I commenced my journey with Creative Options Regina, my perception of Gentle Teaching was quite distinct. However, through my immersion in this nurturing environment and the privilege of completing both Gentle Teaching Levels 1 & 2, along with various other trainings offered by COR, my understanding and approach to support underwent a complete transformation.

The unique aspect of supporting within this organization lies in its positive environment—one that adapts to the individual’s needs rather than imposing rigid structures. This flexibility has enabled me to witness remarkable growth and positivity in the lives of the individuals I support and those I’ve had the pleasure of meeting.

Gentle Teaching has become more than a methodology; it has become a way of life for me. The principles and practices of Gentle Teaching have seamlessly woven into every facet of my existence. Ensuring that those around me feel safe, loved, and engaged has become second nature. This intentional approach has not only fostered flourishing relationships but has also elevated me as a caregiver and support provider.

Through this transformative journey, I’ve witnessed the profound impact of Gentle Teaching not only in the lives of the individuals I support but also in my personal interactions. It’s a ripple effect of positivity that extends beyond the realms of professional care.

In allowing Gentle Teaching to bleed into every aspect of my life, I’ve discovered a profound truth—creating an environment where individuals feel safe, loved, and engaged isn’t just a practice; it’s a powerful way to enhance the quality of life for everyone involved.

With warmth and gratitude,
