Celebrating 100 Acts of Kindness: COR A-OK! Campaign Wraps Up with Heartwarming Success

Greetings, Gentle Teaching International community! Today, we’re thrilled to share the heartening journey of the 100 Acts of Kindness Campaign by COR, a movement that has left Regina buzzing with warmth and gratitude.

Value, an intrinsic quality we all possess, doesn’t require earning. Within our circles of support, this value is often amplified and easily recognized. Yet, there are those special moments when someone, perhaps a stranger, does something extraordinary, catching us off guard with their kindness. How do we acknowledge and express gratitude for these unexpected bright spots in our lives?

In the spirit of recognizing and celebrating these everyday heroes, COR initiated the 100 Acts of Kindness Campaign during the remaining weeks of winter in Regina. Over the course of 10 weeks, the community engaged in identifying and appreciating individuals—both within our immediate circles and those supporting others—who consistently bring smiles to our faces through their acts of kindness, both big and small.

Want to spread some love? On COR’s website, you’ll find the COR A-OK! button. Click it and embark on a journey to brighten someone’s day within the greater COR family. The A-OK! team eagerly reviews submissions and sets out to bring these nominations to life, turning ordinary days into extraordinary ones.

Encouraging everyone in the COR community to participate, the campaign urged individuals to inquire within their teams about local heroes, both big and small. Joining the street team became a way to spread joy and gratitude, celebrating the unsung heroes of the city who warm hearts and bring smiles.

Throughout the campaign, the Street Team embarked on various adventures, recognizing heroes in downtown Regina, community centers, local businesses, schools, transit workers, and even the silent heroes caring for the city’s critters. The campaign’s finale marked Week 10, where Safeway Customer Service representatives, a Sask Power Employee, an Elementary School Principal, and numerous volunteers were celebrated for their exceptional contributions to the community.

As the 100 Acts of Kindness Campaign concludes, COR expresses heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support received from the community. The campaign not only brought joy and kindness to the forefront but also highlighted the power of individuals to create positive change. To everyone involved, thank you for being leaders in spreading kindness and reminding us all of the extraordinary things that happen in our everyday lives. Let’s continue to appreciate and acknowledge the special people around us who make a difference in the world—one act of kindness at a time.
